Can Conversation Be The Key to Your Success?

Wouldn’t it be great if you could just have a normal conversation and your prospects and clients would respond in exactly the way you would like? This may sound like a fantasy, but I assure you it isn’t. And yet most people don’t have normal conversations when it comes to doing business. Possibly, you’ve got it in your head that getting someone to say yes to you needs so special sales voodoo.

So let me ask you, after doing a presentation with a prospect, do you ever feel drained or have a little bit of a sore throat?

In contrast, when you spend a couple hours talking with a friend, do you leave that conversation drained or energized?

It’s not about who you’re talking with; it’s about how you’re having the conversation.  If your energy is drained, you’re doing too much selling and too much talking.  You’re not really having a conversation at all.

Have you ever noticed when you’re talking with certain people your energies feed off each other and your energy is spiraling up and up as the conversation goes on?

By the time the conversation is over you are fully energized.  When the conversation is over you say to the other person, “I really enjoyed talking with you.”  You leave with more energy than you started with because of how the conversation was handled on many different levels.  Would you like to learn how to achieve this level of communication with anyone?  It’s easy!

The deciding factor in whether you can get to yes without selling or not in each of those situations is the way you have the conversation.  No tricks involved.  Straightforward conversation.

People can’t continually be something that they are not.  If the techniques you are taught aren’t congruent with who you are, you will only do them short term.  That’s why old style sales training doesn’t work, long term.
