Question: I have a personal care business and I’ve been operating from my home for the last couple years. Business has slowed and I’m frantically searching for new ways to get the word out about my services. I live in a small town and can’t put a sign up because I’m in a residential area. What advertising methods can you recommend that are cost effective?

Answer: You certainly aren’t alone Sara. Many businesses, on and offline are experiencing a slow down while others are growing like crazy. What’s the difference? I think it comes down to the way you communicate the benefits of what you offer to your prospective clients. Then whatever media you choose to deliver your message through is going to provide much better results for you.
I don’t know what methods of marketing you’re using now, but I would suggest the first thing to do is tweak your message. Talk to some of your clients and see what they like best about working with you.
