Client Q & A

Question: I was on last week’s teleseminar. Any ideas on how to attract new prospects without cold calling? Cold calling to me is fastest way to lose a prospect. Would love to hear your feedback. My issue is getting people to talk to. They seem busy, preoccupied and don’t like being interrupted by phone.

Answer: There isn’t a one size fits all answer for this. It all depends on the business you’re in and who you’re wanting to attract as clients. And it also depends on what your personal strengths are.

The other thing is to ask yourself better questions.

When I realized cold calling wasn’t for me I asked myself what I could do to be successful in real estate without ever cold calling again. And when I listened for the answer, I got what I could do that would work for me. Even in my network marketing business, I created a system where I don’t have to cold call.

There’s always a way that will work perfectly for you, based on your strengths. You have to find that.

Are you focused on doing the kind of presentation that gets you all the referrals you need to make the money you want? I think the system I have may help you create more business from the clients you already have and more referrals. That’s one way of eliminating the need for cold calls.

I’d also look at how the most successful person you know of in your industry does his business. You’d be surprised how easy it is to get a top person to have lunch and tell you what’s working for them that you can implement in your business.
