| “Play full out or don’t play at all.”
Lynn Pierce How have you been playing? |
| This morning I was thinking about the four things you need to be happy, successful and wealthy. I decided that I would give you a resources that will help you in each area, and more…so take a look at the Classes & Special Offer section below. And before we move on to more meaningful things like this week’s article, “Nothing Happens in Life Until Somebody Says Yes!” , let’s talk about Idol & the Olympics for a minute. Last week I thought American Idol was living up to the buzz of this being the most talented season ever. I’ll take that back. Whether you want to blame it on nerves or the more realistic observation that many of these kids don’t have the self-confidence to perform on this big of a stage, first the girls night and then the guys were a big disappointment. Over and over we heard the judges talking to them about their lack of self-confidence and believing in themselves. For some they blew their only chance, but for all the others there is only a few more chances left to get it together. They’ll go home and go back to what they were doing, stay in their comfort zone and tell themselves that they could have made it It’s the same for you in your business. If you don’t have the confidence to put yourself out there as an expert in your field, get off the stage now and find something else to do, because you only get so many chances before people stop listening to you. They can tell you don’t believe in yourself. If you’ve been watching the Olympics you’ve seen the same scenario playing out there. Confidence goes a long way in such fierce competition. You have to make quick decisions, you haveto have the confidence to course correct in midstream based on the conditions and the performance of your competition. You see how people are rewarded for taking chances, loss from playing it safe and sometimes crash and burnto triumph the next day when they take a big chance that doesn’t pay off. Again, no different in your business and your life. If you’re playing small, you might as well stay home. If you put yourself out there in a big way and you crash, you could just be setting the stage for a huge win the next time. Life happens, be ready for it. Set your goals high enough that they require you to stretch your comfort zone and you’ll be amazed what you can achieve. Ask yourself, “What’s the one thing I can change this year to create the life of my dreams?” Remember to join the conversation below.
