Client Q & A

Question: I am from India and 23 years old. I am at a point in my life where I need to make some really hard decisions. I have a job but I want to go for higher studies. However to prepare for a competitive exam to get enrolled in an institution of my choice would entail a lot of preparation which I am unable to put in due to my hectic work schedule. If I quit my job to prepare for the exam, there is no guarantee that I will succeed because I have failed twice before in the same exam. Any help from your side will be deeply appreciated.

Answer: This is a very personal decision you are making, so even though you may get advice, in the end you have to follow your heart. Past performance doesn’t necessarily mean the same outcome this time. Instead I would encourage you to  say “up until now…” because you have to power of changing your outcome by choosing to do things differently and expecting a better outcome. It all starts ther e.

On the practical side, is it possible you could find someone who has passed the exam to help you prepare if you decide to try again? Other than that, I don’t know what advice I can give you. Good luck with your decision.
