Question: I’m in the process of creating my first product and it seems like now that it’s almost finished there’s so much more I need to know how to do before I can put it on the market. I don’t know how to make a video and post and and I’m not crazy about being in front of the camera. I don’t know how to do the new fancy web pages I’m seeing now. How do I know what’s really necessary and what isn’t?

Answer: This is one of the most common situations I see year after year. It doesn’t matter what technologies or processes you think you need to master, there’s always something that you can use to deflect from the task at hand, which is finishing. Don’t wait, finish the product, release it and you can add things as you have the time and acquire the knowledge. It’s great to have video, but don’t wait because you don’t have one.
The latest, greatest web page format changes on a pretty regular basis. And yet you’ll find product that have been selling successfully for many years with no changes to the original page. And these are by some of the top gurus who have staffs doing research and building their web pages. Do what you know how to do now and get it out there.
That’s the first step. And truly, most of the waiting for what you think you need to do is just fear about releasing your product. So read today’s article appropriately on fear, and take that final step!
