I think it’s a valid question to ask yourself. Who or what is in charge of the flow in your life?
There’s a big difference in the results you get and the freedom you have when you can say that you are doing the creating. One glaring difference is that you can make a different choice and shift on a dime when you’re in control. When you’re living on the other side of the fence and your life is running you, you’ll never have that freedom. There will always be a reason why not, an “I’d love to, but…”, and that’s a prison of your own making.
I’ve been consciously, deliberately creating my life for over 30 years and I’ve helped people from all walks of life do the same. Your ability to create your life has nothing to do with where you live, whether you have a family or not, whether you work for someone else, or even if you don’t have a job. The number one point I really want you to get is that it absolutely is not dependent on whether you have money or not.
Speaking from my own experience, I’ve been up and I’ve been down, and more than once. Through every economy, married, single, broke and making money faster than I could spend it, the one constant in my life is that I always knew I had choices. The other side of that is when I was broke, accepting that the choices i had made previously had something to do with the situation I found myself in.
But even then, taking responsibility for your life, no matter what, gives you the freedom to control your destiny. Nobody makes the 100% right choice, fastest path to Nirvana, all the time. Life is all about the learning experience of the ups and downs. Don’t let the fear of making a wrong choice prevent you from making one at all. There really are no wrong choices, just choices that prolong the trip.
There is no difference between the way you manifest in your personal life or your business life. The fears that are lurking in the deep recesses of your mind are the same obstacles that prevent you from having what you want in either area of your life. Everything you truly desire is manifesting in your life now.
The question is what are you really asking for?
Three months ago I moved to Las Vegas to work on a project. I was done with it faster than I thought and now I don’t need to be in Vegas. So I looked at what would make me stay in Vegas and if I decided not to stay, where would I like to go? I decided that I would go back to Cabo San Lucas. I’m going for at least the winter, most likely a year or so. But I’m also open to staying for longer or leaving sooner. The key is, I’m open and I’m not attached.
Now, that isn’t a lifestyle that some people would consider fun, but it’s fun for me. In your life you get to choose. But please make a choice, don’t let life happen to you and pass you by before you even realize you could have chosen differently.
Next week I’m moving back to a place that I never thought I’d live again, but I’ve learned to never say never. I choose to make every day of my life an adventure and just get on for the ride. How about you?
Until next week, I’d love to hear your thoughts. Just comment on this post below.
