Breast Cancer Reality on Success Blueprint Radio

October 27, 2010 Show

We are about to draw a close to Breast Cancer Awareness month, but before we do…Lynn Pierce

As some of you are aware, I was diagnosed with breast cancer in 1999. I chose to deal with it in my own way rather than using Western medicine. Over the years I have written about it in books, and every October in my blog here and also on my book blog. I’ve also posted the links to all archived articles I’ve written about this on my radio show site.

This year there have been more than the usual number of people asking me to speak about it. So I’ve decided to do it now, and do it on my radio show, making it accessible forever to anyone who is looking for information and inspiration day or night, tomorrow or 10 years from now.

On this very special show, host Lynn Pierce (me) will share her breast cancer diagnosis and the full story of how she became cancer free with non-traditional medical therapies*. I have asked Dr. Fern Kazlow to conduct this interview from her perspective as a clinical psychotherapist and a pioneer in the mind-body-spirit connection to draw out the most useful information for those of you who are currently dealing with breast cancer or know someone who is.

Dr. Fern KazlowDr. Fern Kazlow is a New York licensed clinical psychotherapist and business and branding consultant. A pioneer in the mind-body-spirit connection, she opened Integrative Therapy, one of the first holistic health centers, in New York City in 1981. She developed a unique approach to health, healing, and personal growth which  proved potent in the business and finance arena. This method enables people to take the brakes off their life and put themselves in a power position.

What questions do you have for Dr. K to ask Lynn on her Success Blueprint concerning cancer, mindset to overcome illness or how Lynn can help you?

*Lynn Pierce is not a doctor and is sharing her own personal story, beliefs and the path she chose. You are encouraged to take this as the personal story it is and to consult with your physician before trying anything you hear described on this call.

Post your questions below to have them answered live on Wednesday’s show.

Then listen in or call in and participate at 4PM EST Wednesday-this is a talk show!

Here’s the call in #: (347) 843-4199

Qigong—Chinese mind/body exercises–helped me immensely in my successful battles with four bouts of supposedly terminal bone lymphoma cancer in the early nineties. I practiced standing post meditation, one of the most powerful forms of qigong–as an adjunct to chemotherapy, which is how it should always be used.

Qigong kept me strong in many ways: it calmed my mind–taking me out of the fight-or-flight syndrome, which pumps adrenal hormones into the system that could interfere with healing. The deep abdominal breathing pumped my lymphatic system—a vital component of the immune system. In addition, qigong energized and strengthened my body at a time when I couldn’t do Western exercise such as weight-lifting or jogging–the chemo was too fatiguing. And it empowered my will and reinforced it every day with regular practice. In other words, I contributed to the healing process, instead of just depending solely on the chemo and the doctors. Clear 14 years and still practicing!
