Client Q & A

Question: How do I find my target market?

Answer: I’m looking at the questions continuing to come in from our teleseminar, “Authentic Sales for Conscious Entrepreneurs: How to Attract People Who Want to Give You Money”. What I’m noticing is many people don’t understand the difference between sales and marketing.

What I asked was, “What’s your most important question about increasing your sales?” I got lots of questions about marketing in general, and more specifically Internet marketing. I also did get some great, laser focused questions about the sales process. And I’m answering all the questions in the order they were received.

For you to increase your sales, first you must recognize where improvement is needed so you can ask yourself the right questions. Because if you’re asking the wrong questions, you’ll never get the answer you need. This is true for the questions you ask yourself and those you ask your prospects.

Marketing is how you go out and find the target market you want to bring into your sales funnel. You cultivate those leads through a process of continuing to market to them. Once they raise their hand and ask for more information you enter the sales conversation.

If you are confused about the distinctions between the marketing process and the sales process, I can absolutely guarantee you that your business isn’t bringing in anywhere close to the revenue you could generate if you were clear on what part of the process is actually sales and how you need to be having that conversation.

As a resource, I will be bringing in top experts in marketing and Internet marketing to do either teleseminars or webinars for you. We started this week with Armand Morin, who is one of the top experts on Internet marketing.

If your sales process needs improving, the best program you can get to help you in that area would be Getting to YES Without Selling or the Quick Start Formula 2.0.
