Question: I’m just transitioning out of having a job and getting ready to start my own business. I’m in my 50’s and my job is being eliminated. I’m choosing to see this as a good thing, but I’m still a little afraid and don’t know what to do first. If you were starting over, what would you do?
Thanks for your help,
Carol
Answer: It’s natural to be apprehensive when life changes are occurring. When you start your own business there will be lots of things you’ll be doing for the first time. You didn’t mention if you already know the topic of your new business, meaning what you will be offering.
The first thing I would suggest is to look at what you want your life to look like and start from there. Create a blueprint for your life and that will help you design a business that will flow from your true life purpose and feed your soul.
Next, decide what products and services you will deliver and to whom. Your life blueprint will dictate how you choose to do that.
And last is creating the sales and marketing system that will help you connect with your perfect clients and make the sale.
As a woman looking at what it will be like, creating your life and a new business and what it means to be your own boss, you’ll love this interview I did last year where Diva Toolbox Founder, Janet powers asked me about these same topics. We discussed how you can create the blueprint for your life and how to create business that flows out of your passion.
