How to Stop Repelling Wealth Today

August 27, 2009

Every day I see people who would be happy to have additional income and yet they are not creating it. You have to wonder why, don’t you?

I’m sure they all have their reasons if you asked them, but I can say for a fact that 99.99% of all those reasons are excuses, not unworkable facts. I said unworkable, because most situations that can’t be changed can be made workable if you are willing to shift your perception.

So, could you benefit from more wealth in your life?

You may be desperately in need and or you may be at the other end of the spectrum and doing quite well, having an enviable lifestyle, and yet realize that there’s always room for a little or a lot more cash.

So why aren’t you creating it?

Let’s go back to those 99.99% of reasons that are actually excuses. The first clue is in the realization that you call them reasons instead of excuses. Either you aren’t conscious of what they really are or it’s too painful for you right now to deal with the fact that the reason you don’t have more income is because you aren’t in the right frame of mind to allow it.

Because we both know for sure that if you were conscious of the self-sabotage that prevents you from having everything you want, you would stop doing it. Or would you?

When I’m having a conversation with a potential mentoring client, let’s say you, I’ll ask you questions about how open you are to making the changes that will allow you to have more time, more freedom and increase your income to the point that you can make different choices about how you spend your time.

If you were outside that conversation, you’d probably tell me that if we talked, you’d absolutely be ready to make whatever changes were needed to have a better life and more money in the bank. Right?

And yet, in reality many potential clients are excluded from becoming clients because I can hear what’s behind their words and they are still not to the place where they are willing to let go of the old story. And I can only help you if you are ready to help yourself.

And that is how you repel the wealth that would be flowing to you right now. In fact it could start immediately after you make the decision to wake up and pay attention to the way you speak to yourself and the way you allow others to speak to you and of you.

Nobody is perfect or immune to this, not even me. I’ve been paying attention to how I talk to myself and my internal dialogue for almost 35 years and yet last weekend a friend said to me, “Did you just hear yourself?”

I had just revealed a deep-seated (sub-conscious) belief that was holding me back in a particular area of income generation. I’m sure I had a shocked look on my face like, “Who said that, it wasn’t me?” I know I turned red as a beet because I could feel my face heating up. And yet it was a good thing because now it’s out in the light and I can shift it. And I did!

I realized I had been working too hard in that particular area and it was a big aha for me that I wouldn’t have recognized if there wasn’t a very perceptive friend who wasn’t afraid to hold up the mirror for me.

In that moment I was able to look at the belief, reframe it and instantly stop repelling wealth that was available to me in that area. The wealth was always there, just waiting for me to allow it. I opened the door and now I’m allowing instead of repelling.

I visualize everything, so for this I instantly pictured myself at the door of my beautiful home, impeccably dressed, motioning for the Brinks truck full of money bags to put them right over there in my office!

It makes me chuckle when I think about it, but it’s a great reminder of the fact that I’ve shifted the belief and it’s no longer causing me to repel wealth.

So let me ask you, how many places are there in your life where wealth is being blocked because of beliefs you are unaware of or just choose not to look at?

Just as in my example, you can stop repelling wealth today by recognizing how and where you are doing it and then letting that belief go and replacing it with a more positive empowering one.

Until next week, I’d love to hear your thoughts.  Just comment on this post on my blog at http://www.LynnPierce.com

I really did take my camera and my Flip with me and neither ever came out. I’m so bad about being a good media person. In fact I did the same thing at Empowered Women’s Business Summit-never took either of them out! I was so focused on teaching, I completely forgot.

Hurry Before Joel Pulls This Video Down

August 26, 2009

My friend Joel Comm seems to be ahead of the pack again these days.

In the last year he’s…

…had the #1 book on Twitter; Twitter Power. (before most people had even heard of Social Media)

…had the #1 Paid iPhone App for 3 Weeks. (before most people even knew there were iPhone apps)

generated Millions with membership sites. (long before they were popular)

…he’s even appeared on the Daily Show… (and created his own online reality show)

It’s hard to believe that in the six short years that I’ve known him, he’s gone from selling an ebook about Adsense to building a multi-million dollar internet business with 30+ employees.

I’m sure quite a few of you have seen Joel speak at Internet Marketing seminars over the years.

And if you have, you know another of Joel’s projects has people begging him for access even before its launch.  (hint, it involves mobile marketing)

What you might not know is that he and his team
held their own exclusive “Elevate” seminar last fall.

In this exclusive event, Joel and his staff shared exactly how they make millions both online and offline.  And Elevate’s 18 modules are specifically designed to make your business soar!

Tickets to Elevate sold for up to $5,000.

Of course, being a marketer Joel recorded the entire event.

…And now he’s giving away access to the first Elevate presentation absolutely free.

I’ve already previewed it and I can tell you that as one of my subscribers you will find Joel’s content in this foundational presentation completely in alignment with what I teach.

If you’d like to learn how Joel built his multi-million dollar online empire, make sure you watch…

I had to beg Joel to give people access to this video and he only agreed to keep it up for a few days.

I urge you to watch it as soon as possible.

Knowing Joel you’re going to want to have a notepad next to you because there’s so much take action material.

Find out why social media sites like @mashable and celebrities like @mchammer came to Joel to create their iPhone apps and more..

I’m getting ready to go to Utah for a few days and meet up with some friends I’m doing a new business with.

I can feel summer coming to a close as I see school buses reappearing in my neighborhood. How about you?

My hope is that you’ve had a financially productive summer and also a fun filled and relaxing one. If not, it isn’t too late to turn that around.

For me, I’m working on a couple new projects for the fall that include more travel and finishing a book I’m working on.

It’s also time for me to get a new photo, actually it’s past time, and finish the re-branding process I started with my new website at http://LynnPierce.com so I can banish those old product covers!

Fall is a great time for new starts, so what are you planning to do differently this fall?

3 Steps to Get the Life You Want Right Now

August 26, 2009

It only takes one thing to change your life. Just a simple shift in direction takes you to a whole new place. Unfortunately it’s usually something catastrophic that does the trick. But does it have to be?

Because the price you often pay for having your life instantly rearranged can be very high–divorce, loosing your job, the death of a loved one, illness or a serious accident.

What can you do to get a new perspective on your life, and the new life you want, instantly, without having your life turned upside down?

Well, let’s take a look at that.

Wouldn’t it work better if you had a plan to do this yourself before one of those situations did it for you?

If your priorities are instantly recognized and shifted in the face of one of those situations, what can you do to create that same change without the aid of those situations?

And are there signs in your life now that you’re just not aware of?

For example 10 years ago I had a vague feeling that there was a shift coming, but I didn’t know what. And I thought I was paying pretty good attention and even looking for signs…apparently not well enough.

It took being hit with a ton of bricks for me to see it. I was diagnosed with breast cancer.

Since then, and almost instantly, everything in my life has changed for the better.  One of the reasons I do the work I do is to give people the knowledge of the lessons I learned without having to live through a traumatic experience.

Although not an enjoyable process, even at the time I was going through it, I knew there was a big positive to come out of something that could be so devastating.  I was determined to focus on finding that positive end rather than focusing on the worst-case scenario.  For me that made all the difference in how it affected the rest of my life.

Like I said, before the diagnosis I had a vague feeling there was something bigger I was supposed to be doing with my life.  After the diagnosis, I made it my number one priority to find out what that was.

Within a month, the focus of my life was totally different.  I quit my very cushy job immediately and my husband and I prepared to move from Mexico, where we had lived for the last 6 years, back to the States.  I flew up to Scottsdale, bought a house in 3 days and we moved with no prospects of a job for either of us. In fact, I had determined that my days of working for someone else were over.

Trusting in the Universe, just knowing where we were guided to go, we made the transition quickly.

After eleven months of deep personal growth work to be fully prepared and meditations asking what I was to do, I found my purpose.  Since then I have been living the life I of my dreams again…but now it’s a different dream than hanging out on the beach and the easy life.

I realized my passion and my purpose is teaching people how to realize their dreams through my writing, mentoring, course and live events.  Every day I think about what is most important to me in my life. I feel blessed I have the luxury of my work being to my passion and helping them to build a life and a business on their own.

It’s a much different life than what I had pictured before the diagnosis, but also a much more fulfilling one and one I’m not sure I would have realized it as fast, as profoundly or if ever without that catalyst. But you don’t have to wait for something like that to happen to you!

Here are 3 steps you can take today to get the life you want right now:

#1 Put yourself in a place of total freedom by asking yourself, “If I could start over today, what 5 things would be different in my new life?”

#2 Ask yourself, “What have I been holding on to until now that I’d immediately drop if my life depended on it?” Let it go, it’s over!

#3 While you’re at it, ask “Who have I been unable to forgive, including myself?” Forgive them and yourself because those old tapes wear down your energy everyday whether you’re conscious of it or not.

Until next week, I’d love to hear your thoughts.  Just comment on this post on my blog at http://www.LynnPierce.com

If you would like personal mentoring, send me an email detailing what you would like help with.  As your mentor I hold a bigger vision for you than you hold for yourself.  When you have faith and a team that believes in you, it gives you courage.  When you don’t have to do it all yourself, all things are possible for you.  Commit today to go for your dream 100%.

What’s New
This has been a week of reliving the past. Well, not exactly, but I have been getting all my tax stuff ready to send to the accountant which means looking over not only everything from my business to see that it is properly accounted for, but also the personal stuff last year – my divorce and moving.

Needless to say, this wasn’t my favorite year to go back and look at. And yet there were some powerful lessons that I’m sure would not have come so quickly or deeply if I hadn’t been looking to move on from that situation in the healthiest way possible.

9 months of daily walks on the beach, more hours of daily spiritual practice than I had normally done and serious introspection, (along with a few extra trips to Maui) has made me a much different person than I was before the divorce. So in that way it was a good thing. And I’m grateful to have structured my work and my life in a way that allowed me the luxury of doing it that way.

I have been on a perpetual quest for self-knowing since high school and I think that curiosity about what makes people who they are and what makes them change served me well in my first 25 year career as a sales person and sales trainer.

It certainly serves me now being in my 50′s and having lived through just about every situation a client can come to me for help with. I’m happy to be the “been there, done that, now let me tell you how to shift the situation to get where you want to be as quickly as possible”.

I ran across this ezine article from September 25, 2003 and it seemed to be a perfect fit for today so I’m reprinting it as the featured article in it’s entirety so don’t get confused by the time line of things mentioned in the article.

I wrote it a few days after completing my first live event where I was the only speaker for 2 days. It was called “The Empowered Wealth Summit”. At that event I found that people were struggling with managing their time, having a life and building a business.

That is still as true today evidenced by the fact that it came up more than a few times at last week’s Empowered Women’s Business Summit.

I have a couple spots left in my Platinum Inner Circle, so if you’re serious about growing your business, and creating a line of products and services that not only funds the life of your dreams, but is in alignment with who you are and how you choose to live your life, email me for details, I’ll get you an application and we can set up an interview to see if you are a good fit.

You have a choice of struggling in this economy, doing what you’ve always done before and possibly creating diminishing results, or learning how to do business in a new way that will bring you the results you desire. This preview series will open you up to what is the next step for you.

If you join me in the Platinum Inner Circle you will go crashing through the barriers that have been slowing you down and sabotaging your success up to now.

How to Stay Focused When Life is Banging On Your Office Door

August 14, 2009

**This article was originally published in the Change One Thing ezine September 25, 2003

There always seems to be 10 things going on at once in my life. In fact I’ve yet to meet anyone who has only one thing happening in their life at a time. The issue of too many things to do and too little time certainly comes up a lot when I have conversations with people who are taking on new projects in new areas. Since just about everything I’ve done in the last 2 ½ years has been one first time event after another, I’m becoming some kind of expert in doing unfamiliar things.

For example:

{{Potd/2006-04-19 (en)}}
Image via Wikipedia

I have had a major health crisis to deal with while planning a 3 week trip to China, and closing a deal on a house in country I didn’t live in while traveling between the U.S., Mexico and the afore mentioned China.

While I was preparing for my first live event, my husband decided to change jobs, so we are moving to a new area in 2 weeks. In the middle of all this I had a last minute opportunity to attend an important seminar. So I stopped what I was doing and flew to Las Vegas for 5 days. Yes, that shortened the amount of time I had to finish working on my seminar, but as you may have guessed, I perform well under pressure.

Which leads me to the big question:

What does it take for you to stay focused on your most important task at hand when the rest of your life is knocking on your office door?

I have 7 keys to staying focused under pressure I’d like to share with you.

1. Having a clear vision of where your life is going makes it much easier to stay focused. You have a roadmap to follow. Because you have a vision of your end result, you know exactly what to do and why you are doing every single. Prioritize those steps you need to take so they are taken care of in the order you need to finish your project, not what’s hard or easy.

Now you have a yardstick to measure all the things that pop up in your life. Projects have an order that needs to be followed. The majority of the time you can’t start on the next thing and do it well without having completed the step before it.

2. Schedule your time with a large block for your primary project and short periods before, after, or a short break in the middle of your day to take care of equally important tasks from the rest of your life. You’ve got to eat. You may be responsible for feeding others as well. So it’s unrealistic to think everything else in your life is going to stop so you can work exclusively on your project. It’s about how much time you dedicate for what.

3. Life goes on. Take into account the things in your daily life you absolutely have to have done and see how many of them you can hire out or delegate to someone else. Don’t spend your time doing $10 an hour work unless it’s something that gives you a great deal of pleasure.

Some people find cleaning to be relaxing and a good time to think and be creative. I’m not one of them, but if you are, go ahead and do it. Ask yourself, “If I stop what I’m doing now to do this other thing, is it taking me closer to my end goal?” If it isn’t, don’t do it! It can either be put off or passed off to someone else. Sometimes you have to just say no!

4. Stuff happens. There will be those days where you have unavoidable interruptions to your schedule. At the end of the day, anything that didn’t get finished moves into a priority position the next day. Always review your schedule for the next day before ending your work day. It will help you to sleep better at night when you are organized and clear on what your next step is. Also, it gives your subconscious mind time to start working on the tasks for the next day so they go quicker and smoother.

5. Stick to the plan. Put on blinders and do the first thing that needs to be done. When that is finished, do the very next thing that needs to be done. The best way I know how to be fully present in what you are doing is to look at what the very next step you have to take and nothing else except your end result.

When you look at each and every step along the way, it’s overwhelming. When you look down this same road and realize you don’t have a clue what those steps are, you will be immobilized by fear as well as overwhelmed.

6. Set deadlines for yourself. These may be real event deadlines or a self-imposed deadline. Having a deadline aids you in breaking your project down into small easily handled chunks. These chunks are the steps you take, one after another. You may not be in a position where you know how long a chunk is going to take, but you need to make a commitment to take one step at a time. Don’t do a little of this and a little of that. If you do, you’ll never know if you are on track or if you will even have all the pieces put together when you get to the end.

7. Don’t beat yourself up when things don’t go according to plan. As hard as you try, it’s impossible to do everything perfectly, so don’t set yourself up with those expectations. If you are growing and expanding, you are doing things you’ve never done before.

Although you are planning things as best you can, because you are doing something new, allow for the fact that there may be some steps you didn’t know about when you created your plan. Be flexible enough to take whatever comes in stride.

So let’s go back to the example I just mentioned about making the decision to stop in the middle of preparing my seminar to attend another seminar on the spur of the moment. All 7 of the steps we just talked about made that possible.

Real Life Example:
1. I created a vision for my life 2 ½ years ago. That plan is like a software program running in the background all the time. I don’t have to consciously think about it, but it organizes everything else.

2. I schedule my time in blocks, so if I need to move those blocks around to fit in something that comes up, I can easily see if that is possible. I rearranged my blocks to go away for 5 days and still coordinate what it’s going to take to move our household with my husband through phone conversations.

3. I must confess, I am still in the process of ridding myself of doing a lot of those $10 an hour chores, but I am getting better at delegating and saying no.

4. I constantly have my eye on my schedule, so if I choose to do one thing while I’m scheduled to do something else, I readjust my schedule or speed things up.

5. Because I had a plan I could look at where I was and what I still had to do to see if it was possible to take 5 days out of my schedule and still finish on time.

6. So I set a new deadline for myself of what I wanted to have finished before I left and made sure I met my new deadline.

7. Above all, I stay flexible.

If you would like additional help with this process, I would encourage you to grab an application for the Platinum Inner Circle by sending me an email.

Until next week, I’d love to hear your thoughts.  Just comment on this post on my blog at http://www.LynnPierce.com

What’s New
What an amazing week I’ve had! Last Thursday morning at this time I was at the airport preparing to fly to Vegas for my Empowered Women’s Business Summit. And I couldn’t have asked for a more wonderful, diverse group of women (and a couple great men) to spend the weekend with. I loved every minute of it.

This was something new for me; teaching in the intimate, interactive way I do for a high-end group of a handful of people, and translating that to a larger group. And it worked big time.

Instead of being on a stage and talking at people, we had a conversation that lasted for 3 days and it was fabulous!

I’m so glad I decided to reformat my very last summit ever into this type of event. I’m looking for some great things to come out of this group very quickly now that they’re home and implementing what they’ve learned!

In fact several women left on Sunday with new businesses ready to roll. There were also a couple new partnerships formed that I’m already aware of and I haven’t even had a chance to see the video testimonials yet.

That’s the great thing about a small group; interaction and personalized attention.

I’m also looking forward to working even more closely with my new Platinum Inner Circle members. We only have a couple spots left  in this group, so if you’re serious about growing your business, and creating a line of products and services that not only funds the life of your dreams, but is in alignment with who you are and how you choose to live your life, email me for details, I’ll get you an application and we can set up an interview to see if you are a good fit.

I feel so blessed with the pleasure I get from this type of interaction with my clients and being given the gift of really being able to deliver the clarity and the tools that will help my clients move forward in a way they’ve not been able to before.

Look at what you do so well, that makes you feel the same way; because whatever that is for you, it’s a gift you want to share with the world.

Often it’s something you know like the back of your hand and you’ve been doing for a long time. For me, what I do is easy because I’ve been not only living the personal development and business growth principles I shared at the summit for the last 30 years, I’ve been teaching the majority of it for the last 28 years!

The preview teleseminars are still posted for another week and then they’ll be coming down, so if you haven’t registered to listen to those yet, do it now. And if you haven’t downloaded them to your iPod, this week is your last chance.

Does Your Inspiration Translate Into Reality?

August 6, 2009

Where does inspiration come from?

Do you believe that it’s something rare or something that happens to you all day every day?

Your beliefs dictate how inspired you feel and how often you recognize inspiration when it’s there. Actually, your thoughts and the beliefs they create become the results you see in your life.

And what can you do to create new more positive thoughts that lead to more empowering beliefs?

Well, I believe there are sources of inspiration constantly around us in many forms if we are open to recognizing them. And I’m not just talking about personal growth programs, although they are a primary source of inspiration.

I’m asking you to broaden your sources of inspiration and ask yourself in everyday life situations, “What do I find inspiring about this?”

For instance, dare I say it…I love reality shows that showcase people’s talent.

They really inspire me and spark my own creativity. I love to watch people going for their dreams and taking risks and growing and changing as they are put through various challenges with their talent. I can feel it open my heart and fill me with joy as I see people grow and expand in their expression of their passion and life purpose.

A couple days ago I was watching HGTV’s Design Star and 9 designers had a challenge of starting with white cubicles with a few basic pieces of furniture. They all had the same blank slate and they all had the same money and time.

What they didn’t have equally was inspiration and talent. Can inspiration trump talent?

I believe so. There are many talented people who shrink at a challenge and their lack of inspiration makes them go bland instead of going bold, and on reality TV, that means going home.

And it works exactly the same way in life, except if it’s your business you go broke instead of just being sent packing.

It was such a clear demonstration of inspiration and lack of it that I could teach a 9 week course dissecting the psychology of each person’s degree of inspiration and how that influenced them to take a risk and play full out or play it safe and have very poor results.

This had much, much more to do with inspiration than talent. All 9 are talented, but only 3 were inspired. That fact that “the color expert” was sent home for not making good color choices speaks volumes.

I would encourage you to go online and find that episode and watch it in light of this topic. I think it will be clear to you that inspiration is always available to you when you see that they were given an hour in a grocery store to get everything they were going to use to do their room and the amazing results 3 people achieved.

All 9 people where in the same store with the same resources, but what they chose reflected their level of belief in themselves, their self-esteem and that directly correlates to their level of risk taking.

Isn’t it a shame that inspiration can be all around you, and for many people, you can’t see it or don’t trust yourself enough to act on it?

How can you shift this and be open to inspiration?

Let me ask you, what books are you currently reading? What audios are you listening to?   What kind of movies or TV shows are you watching?

One of the quickest ways to master anything is to read books, listen to audios and watch videos on the subject.  If you only read novels or just listen to music in your car, you’re missing out on a major key to success.

People who have achieved a high level of abundance in their lives generally read 2-3 inspirational books a week.   They aren’t parked in front of the TV all night, every night.

You are probably thinking that you barely have the time to do the things in your life now, and how could you possibly add anything else.  But, that’s exactly the point.  We all have the same 24 hours in each day.  Since you can’t add hours, it’s up to you to decide how to spend the ones you have.

With today’s technology you have many choices of how to best receive information that will inspire you. Not having time is no longer an excuse.

Look at this partial list of delivery methods for getting inspirational information to you anywhere at anytime:

To create the life of your dreams, means making some new choices in how you spend your time.  If it were possible for you to achieve your goals by doing what you’re doing now, you would already have everything you want.  Tony Robbins once said, “Don’t let a groove become a grave.” You can’t create a new life with the habits that created the life you have now.

With a plan for creating your future, you can get excited about what you need to learn to make it happen.  The more real your plan or blueprint is, the quicker you’ll want to get through every book or program that can aid you in the achievement of your goals.

Just as when you were a child and books magically took you to places you had never traveled to before, inspirational material will guide you to becoming the person you want to be.  More often than not, we don’t grow up with unlimited funds, love, and guidance.  So it becomes your responsibility to improve your life.  If you don’t currently find the inspiration you would like to have in your life, you can find it all around you if you look.
